This volume contains letters received by the Governor of Sierra Leone from the Secretary of State for War and the Colonies between 14 January and 24 December 1833. It includes an index of eleven pages that lists the date of the letter, the sender, the subject, how it was disposed of, and remarks. For some of the letters, information is provided on when the letter was received and, for few cases, when it was answered. The letters concern a variety of issues relating to the administration of the Colony, ranging from judicial to financial affairs. The volume is bound in blue cloth boards. The paper is brittle and some of the pages are torn. Other pages are affected by water damage and damage from iron gall.
