This volume contains letters written by the Governor of Sierra Leone to the Secretary of State for War and the Colonies between 1 January 1833 and 11 February 1835. Each letter in the volume includes the number of the despatch, the date, where it was written and the signature of the governor. It sometimes includes enclosures. The volume also contains despatches sent by Henry Dundas Campbell to Lord Aberdeen between 21 February and 26 November 1835. The last two pages include an index listing the number and the page number of Campbell’s despatches in the volume, as well as the date and the subject. The volume is bound in red cloth boards. The binding is damaged, and some pages are loose. There are traces of water damage and damage from iron gall. The edges of some pages are breaking away.
