The Dhammapada story of Visakha. When Visakha was living in her husband’s family, she ministered her husband, father and mother in law well. One day, she invited the Buudha and the monks to have meal at her house. She also invited her father in law, Migara to attend the ceremony. At the time, Miagar still believed in the ascetic nudist (the Niganthas). So, they would not let him go. Hoever, they conceded that he could listen to the preaching that given by the Buddha from behind a curtain, not to sit in the front of the Budda. After hearing the Buddha’s preaching, he attained Sotapatti Fruition. Being so thankful, he declared that henceforth Visakha would be like a mother to him, and Visakha came to be known as Migaramata (lit, mother of Migara). Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Sangkat 173 (corresponding with CS 1173), a huang mot year, on the eighth day of the waxing moon of the eleventh lunar month.
