Vinaya with the text was written in Pali language tells about the cause of laying down Parasük (Pali: Pārājika). Parasük literally means ‘defeats’ which is called Kharukabat (Pali,Garukāpatti: heavy punishment). If a monk breaks any one of the rules he is automatically defeated in the holy life and falls from monkhood immediately. He is not allowed to become a monk again in his lifetime. Colophons: Folio26 on the recto side and folio 26 on the verso side: Sangkat (CS) 977, on the tenth day of the waxing moon of the seventh lunar month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday). Saen Si Rasaraksa and his wife sponsored [the making of this manuscript] for Vat Xiang Muan.
