The content tells the story of Vessabhu Buddha. The Bodhisatta was the son of King Supati and Queen Silavadi of Anoma kingdom. Prince Vessabhu lived in three castles called Ruci, Suruci, and Rativagana for 10,000 years, with 30,000 concubines and Sicittadevi as his queen. His son named Supabuddha Kumara. One day he saw four signs, he was so sad. He then left the worldly life and ordained as an ascetic. There were 70,000 people followed him. The ascetic practiced for six months and attained enlightenment and became the Buddha on the full moon day of the sixth lunar month at dawn. His two distinguished disciples namely Sona Thera and Uttara Thera. His attendant named Upasanta Thera. His two female distinguished disciples namely Rama Theri and Sarama Theri. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Buddhist Era (BE) 2488, a hap hao year, on the sixth day of the waxing moon of the tenth lunar month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). The initiators, Saen Mai Thit Onsi and his wife Saen Kaeo from Xiang Maen village sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Phutthavong (Buddhavaṃsa) to dedicate the merit to father named Ai Phaeng, mother Sao Bun or Sao On, Sao Chanpheng, Sao Bem, Sao Kham, Thit Ma, Thit Pheng and Thit Khamphan. May the results of this merit move them to a good place, and to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May our desires and wishes come true. May I attain Arahantship. May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvana.
