The content tells the story of King Brahmagota. In the time of Padumuttara Buddha was living, the Bodhisattva was born as King Brahmagota performing Dānapāramī. The king had his queen named Nandadevi. At the time, Padumuttara Buddha lived in Kusumabhapura city. The king went to the presence of the Buddha, offered him with offerings and listened to his preachings regularly. Every day, King Brahmagota offered alms to the Buddha along with 500 monks. The Bodhisattva did this duty continuously until the end of his life. After death, the king was reborn in the heaven with heavenly properties. Colophon: Folio 25 on the recto side: Sangkat 196 (corresponding with CS 1196), a kap sanga year, on the first day of the waxing moon of the ninth lunar month, the third day of the week (Tuesday), a kap chai day, the writing of this manuscript was accomplished at the time of tut sai (between 12.00–13.30 o’clock). Phra Rasakhu Chao Vat Saen (Abbot of Vat Saen Temple) had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled 50 Sat (50 Existences), to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
