Patimokkha manuscript, the text was written in Pali language is used to learn by heart by monk. The Patimokkha is the basic code of monastic disciplines, consisting of 227 rules for monks. The Patimokkha recitation by a monk in the assembly of the Sangha is regularly held in the monastic hall on every full moon day and every new moon day which is called uposatha day. Colophon: Folio 37 on the recto side: Mahasangkat (CS) 1273, a huang khai year, on the eleventh day of the waning moon of the third lunar month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), a kot san day, the writing was accomplished at the time of tut sai (between 12.00–13.30 o’clock). The initiators, Phanya Samat and his wife from the village of King together with all their children, grandchildren, parents and relatives sponsored the making of these manuscripts entitled Sutmon Nòi, Sutmon Kang, Sattha, Sangkhaha, and Patimokkha, in a total of five fascicles, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May all of us reach the three states of happiness with Nibbāna as the ultimate goal. May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna, certainly and constantly.
