Patimokkha manuscript, the text was written in Pali language is used to learn by heart by monk. The Patimokkha is the basic code of monastic disciplines, consisting of 227 rules for monks. The Patimokkha recitation by a monk in the assembly of the Sangha is regularly held in the monastic hall on every full moon day and every new moon day which is called uposatha day. Colophon: Folio 40 on the recto side: Chunlasangkat (CS) 1193, a huang mao year, the eleventh day of the waning moon of the eighth lunar month, a moeng mot day, Sunday, [the writing was accomplished] at the time of the thae kai thiang (between 9.00–10.30 o’clock). Pharasa Somdet Maha Inthapannya inscribed this manuscript in order to support the Teachings of the Fourth Buddha named Gotama Buddha, to last until the end of 5000 years. I have the most ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Patimok, to prolong the ages of the Teachings of the Buddha. May I be born in the same time of Pha Ariya Metteyya who will emerge in the human world in the future and will become the Buddha, be the superior one than human and Devas. By the results of this merit that I have inscribed this Patimok, in order to prolong the Teachings of the Buddha. May this be a condition for me to reach Nibbāna which is the greatest bliss certainly and constantly.
