The text tells the snake ghost. When Maha Moggallana Thera and Lakkhana Thera were leaving from Gijjhakuta for collecting alms in Rajagaha. On the way, Maha Moggallana Thera saw with his devine eyes a peta (hungry ghost) with the shape of a python, with 25 yojanas long, with a human head, with long hair, with flames burning from head to tail, from tail to the head. Sometimes it burns its head and tail to the middle of the body, from the middle of the body to the head and tail, alternately like this. The state of the ghost was greatly suffering. He suffered from the results of his previous deed that he set fire to the temple and abodes which were built by Mangkhala millionair for Kassapa Buddha. Colophons: (1) Folio 11 on the verso side: Chan (ex-monk) Suk from Luang Prabang is the scribe. May the results of this merit support me to attain enlightenment at the place of Ariya Mettey who will become the Buddha in the future. Nibbāna is the greatest bliss. (2) Folio 12 on the recto side: Buddhist Era (BE) 2512. Thu Pho (Monk father) from Vat Sangkhalok sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Vibak Phet (Consequence of the ghosts), the fifth episode. May the results of this merit support aunt Kaensi who already passed away, may she rejoice with this merit like her own doing. May the results of this merit support us to meet Ariya Metteyya who will become the Buddha in the future. Nibbāna is the greatest bliss.
