The text tells the snake ghost. When Maha Moggallana Thera and Lakkhana Thera were leaving from Gijjhakuta for collecting alms in Rajagaha. On the way, Maha Moggallana Thera saw with his devine eyes a peta (hungry ghost) with the shape of a python, with 25 yojanas long, with a human head, with long hair, with flames burning from head to tail, from tail to the head. Sometimes it burns its head and tail to the middle of the body, from the middle of the body to the head and tail, alternately like this. The state of the ghost was greatly suffering. He suffered from the results of his previous deed that he set fire to the temple and abodes which were built by Mangkhala millionair for Kassapa Buddha.
