The text tells the story of the son of a rich man from Rajagaha who never did any charity. After the death of his parents, he spent all his wealth that his parents gave him. When he did not know how to make a living, he became a thief. When the people caught him and handed him over to the king. The king ordered the execution. Before his death, he had the opportunity to offer 4 lumps of rice and a drink of water brought by a compassionate person while incarcerated to Maha Moggalana Thera. Due to the results of the merit, after his death, he was reborn as rukkhadevata (the angel resides on a tree). Colophons: (1) Folio 12 on the recto side: Chan (ex-monk) Suk Müng Luang is the scribe.
