ວັດຖຸເຜດ (ຜູກຕົ້ນ)

ກ່າວເຖິງເລື່ອງ ລູກມະກາເສດຖີ ແຫ່ງເມືອງຣາຊະຄຶ ທີ່ບໍ່ເຄີຍເຮັດບຸນໃຫ້ທານອັນໃດເລີຍ, ພາຍຫຼັງ ພໍ່ແມ່ເຂົາເສຍຊີວິດແລ້ວ ເຂົາໄດ້ໃຊ້ຈ່າຍຊັບສົມບັດທີ່ພໍ່ແມ່ຫາໄວ້ໃຫ້ຈົນໝົດ ເມື່ອເຂົາບໍ່ຮູ້ຈັກການທໍາມາຫາກິນ ເຂົາກໍ່ກາຍເປັນໂຈນ ເມື່ອປະຊາຊົນຈັບໄດ້ແລະສົ່ງໃຫ້ພະຣາຊາ. ພະຣາຊຈຶ່ງສັ່ງໃຫ້ປະຫານຊີວິດ. ກ່ອນຕາຍ ເຂົາມີໂອກາດໄດ້ຖວາຍເຂົ້າໜົມ ໔ ກ້ອນພ້ອມດ້ວຍນໍ້າດື່ມ ທີ່ມີຄົນສົງສານເອົາມາໃຫ້ໃນຂະນະທີ່ຖືກຈອງຈໍາ ແກ່ພະມະຫາໂມກຄັນລານະເຖລະ. ດ້ວຍອານິສົງອັນນັ້ນ ເມື່ອເຂົາຕາຍແລ້ວ ກໍ່ໄດ້ໄປເກີດເປັນຣຸກຂະເທວະດາ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: (໑) ລານທີ ໑໐ ໜ້າ ໑: ພ.ສ. ໒໕໑໑ ຜູ້ຂຽນ ຈານສຸກ ເມືອງຫລວງແລ້ວ ເດືອນຈຽງ ຂຶ້ນ ໑ ຄໍ່າ ວັນ ໕ ເວລາບາຍ ໒ ໂມງ ຂໍອໍານາດກຸສົນສ່ວນນີ້ຈົ່ງດົນບັນດານໃຫ້ຂະນ້ອຍໄດ້ບັນລຸໃນສໍານັກພະສີອາຣິຍະເຈົ້າຈະລົງມາອຸບັດໃນໂລກຂ້າງນ້ານີ້ເທີ້ນ. (໒) ລານທີ ໑໐ ໜ້າ ໒: ພຸດທະສັງກາດ ໒໕ ຮ້ອຍ ໑໒ (ກົງກັບ ພ.ສ. ໒໕໑໒) ໝາຍມີ ນາງພັນ ບ້ານສັງຄະໂລກ ໄດ້ສ້າງ ມະຫາວິບາກ ກັນຕົ້ນນີ້ໄວ້ກັບພຸດທະສາສະໜາ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າ ໕ ພັນ ພັນວັດສາ ຂະນ້ອຍຂໍກຸສົນສ່ວນນີ້ຈົ່ງເປັນປັດໃຈນໍາຂະນ້ອຍໃຫ້ໄດ້ນິບພານ ກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ.

The text tells the story of the son of a rich man from Rajagaha who never did any charity. After the death of his parents, he spent all his wealth that his parents gave him. When he did not know how to make a living, he became a thief. When the people caught him and handed him over to the king. The king ordered the execution. Before his death, he had the opportunity to offer 4 lumps of rice and a drink of water brought by a compassionate person while incarcerated to Maha Moggalana Thera. Due to the results of the merit, after his death, he was reborn as rukkhadevata (the angel resides on a tree). Colophons: (1) Folio 10 on the recto side: BE 2511, Chan (ex-monk) Suk from Luang Prabang is the scribe. [The writing was accomplished] on the first day of the waxing moon of the first lunar month, the fifth day of the week (Thursday), at 2 p.m. May the results of this merit to support me to attain [enlightenment] at the place of Phra Si Ariya who will become the Buddha in the future. (2) Folio 10 on the verso side: Buddhist Era 25 hundred and 12 (corresponding with BE 2512). Nang Phan from the village of Sangkhalok sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Maha Vibak Great consequence), the first episode to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition for me to reach Nibbāna.
