A millionaire had two sons. The father taught five kinds of knowledge to the elder brother. Then he travelled to present the knowledge but nobody listened to him. But he still went on to Varanasi and entered the palace. He met King Pokkharaphat and his ministers in the meeting hall. Thus he presented his knowledge to the king. When the presenting had finished, the king said that I like only three knowledge from five. Colophon: Folio 24 on the recto side: Sisattabuarabat chunlasangkatrasa thousand 20037 (corresponding with CS 1237), a hap khai year, the third day of the waning moon of the fifth lunar month, the third day of the week (Tuesday), a kat hao day, the writing of this manuscript was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Buphipattarat, the king who lives in the front golden palace, along with his children and relatives had the most ardent religious faith to sponsore the making of this manuscript [entitled] Lam phalasangkhanya, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May I reach the three states of happiness with Nibbāna is the ultimate goal. May I enter the crystal city which is Nibbāna. Amen amen! Nibbāna is the greatest bliss certainly.
