Once, King Thammasaccha ruled the city of Sitthisoma had his queen named Asalasati and seven daughters. At the time, King Thammasaccha donated a white elephant to a poor man who was sent by King Aasotika of Vanasanda to ask for it. The king was exiled together with his wife and daughters to the other side of the river. He then met the 12 women who had been helped by a boy who was transformed of Indra. Later, the boy went to redeem the white elephant and gave it to King Thammasaccha. When the ministers and the peoples of Sitthisoma learned that the white elephant had returned to their former king. So they organized a procession of elephants, horses and wagons to invite the king to return to rule the city of Sithisoma as before. Thit Nya from Chan Tai village, Luang Prabang province, and Sathu Phò Phia Phatthaman from Vat Mai, together with his wife and children, jointly sponsored the making of this manuscript [entitled] Phutthasen, to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May both of us reach the three states of happiness with Nibbāna is our ultimate goal. May our wishes not be ignored. May this be a condition to reach Nibbāna in the future. I am Thit Nya who is the scribe. By the results of this merit, may I get enlightenment and become a Buddha in the future. Ahaṃ buddho Ahaṃ buddho Ahaṃ buddho.
