When Samuthara knew that Phanya Parutthasen had appointed Phutthasen as a viceroy, she pretended ill and asked Phutthasen to go to the city of Vayarapatti, the city where the giant lived, to bring her medicine. Samuthara wrote a letter to Phutthasen to give to her daughter, Kangari. The letter stated that when Phutthasen arrived, you should eat him. During the trip, Phutthasen stopped by the side of the road and fell asleep. At that time, a hermit came to see him and helped to correct the message in the letter that, when Phutthasen arrived, you should marry him. When Phutthasen met Kangkhari, they fell in love and lived together. Phutthasen tricked to ask about the magic things from Kangkhari. When he got what he wanted, he left the giant city. When Kangkhari found out, she followed him and asked Phutthasen to return to her, but to no avail. She eventually died of a heart attack. When Phutthasen returned to the city, he killed Samuthara and ruled the city. He took his mother and all aunts to be the wives of Phany Parutthasen. Phutthasen then returned to Kangkhari and died afterward. Thit (ex-monk) Nya and Sao Phali from Chan Tai village, along with their son named Mr. Thongvan jointly had the most ardent religious faith, together with Sathu Phò Phia Phatthaman from Vat Mai, jointly sponsored the making of this manuscript [entitled] Phutthasen, fascicle 5, to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May both of us reach the three states of happiness with Nibbāna is our ultimate goal. I am Thit Nya who is the scribe. By the results of this merit, may I get enlightenment and become a Buddha in the future certainly.
