This volume contains letters written by the Governor of Sierra Leone between 9 March 1863 and 6 May 1864. Each despatch in the volume includes the date and place it was written, the number of the despatch, and the signature of the sender. The length of a despatch varies from one paragraph to several pages. The volume is bound in red cloth boards. The are some traces of water damage, as well as damage from iron gall. On some pages of the volume, the ink is fading.
