This volume contains letters written by the Governor of Sierra Leone between 21 July 1818 and 14 October 1822. The first part of the volume includes 30 pages containing a summary of the despatches and 66 blank pages. The despatches in the volume contain information on the date and place of writing, and the signature of the sender. The letters concern the state of the Colony such as the estimated pay for the Royal African Colonial Regiment, or the returns of European casualties in the Colony. The volume is bound in red cloth boards. There is extensive damage from iron gall, and there are some traces of water damage.
