Description: The present envelope tells us the history of the Municipal Lactarium (Breast Milk Centre) of Buenos Aires created to provide surplus mothers’ milk in order to overcome the health risks of the “old wet-nurse system” on a “non-profit basis.” It was created in the late 1920s.
