O documento é um processo de defloramento aberto pela 4ª Vara Penal em 7 de janeiro de 1927 referente ao crime cometido contra a vítima Topazia Alvaro da Cruz. Réu e vítima mantinham relações de namoro, tendo ele feito promessas de casamento à ela. Durante o processo, a denúncia foi julgada procedente e o réu foi condenado, sendo inclusive preso e enviado à Cadeia de São José. No entanto, o réu recorreu da decisão, o que levou a um novo julgamento que determinou que a denúncia era improcedente. Porém, através de um novo recurso, o réu foi novamente condenado, dessa vez sentenciado a dois anos e seis meses de prisão. Na cadeia, o réu desistiu de um novo recurso e tomou a vítima em casamento. Por fim, sua condenação foi anulada pelo casamento.
