On one occasion, the Buddha was residing at the Jetavana monastery in Savatthi. At the time, King Pasenadi approached the presence of the Buddha and asked the Buddha the differnce of the lifespans among the human beings and deities. Some have longevity, but some are short-lived. The Buddha gave a sermon said that our physical bodies are impermanent, it happened, staying, and vanishing accordance with the law of nature.
