ສັກກະບັນ (ຜູກ ໑໓)

ສັກກະບັນ ເປັນກັນທີ່ ໑໐ ໃນຈໍານວນ ໑໓ ກັນ ໃນເຫວດສັນຕະຣະຊາດົກ ມີ ໔໖ ຄາຖາ. ເນື້ອໃນກ່າວເຖິງ ທ້າວສັກກະຫຼືພະອິນ ຄິດວ່າ ຕໍ່ໄປພາຍໜ້າຫາກມີຜູ້ມາຂໍພະນາງມັດທີ ພະເວດສັນດອນກໍ່ຈະໃຫ້ ອາດເຮັດໃຫ້ການບໍາເພັນພຽນເພື່ອໂພທິຍານເກີດອຸປະສັກເພາະບໍ່ມີຜູ້ປົນນິບັດ ຈຶ່ງແປງເພດເປັນພາມມາຂໍພະນາງມັດທີ ພະເວດສັນດອນກໍ່ປະທານໃຫ້ ພາມແປງໄດ້ຖວາຍຄືນ ພ້ອມທັງປະສາດພອນ ໘ ປະການແກ່ພະເວດສັນດອນ ເຊັ່ນ ໃຫ້ຊາວເມືອງຫາຍໂກດແລ້ວອອກມາຮັບເອົາກັບບ້ານເມືອງ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ ໑໗ ໜ້າ ໑: ສີສຸມັງຄະລະສັງກາດຣາຊະໄດ້ ໑໒໙໒ ຕົວ ປີກົດສະງ້າ ເດືອນ ໓ ຂຶ້ນ ໓ ຄໍ່າ ພໍ່າວ່າໄດ້ ວັນ ໔ ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມກອງງາຍ ໝາຍມີ ຈານອ່ອນ ສາວທີ ເປັນເຈົ້າລານ ຣັດຕະນະປັນຍາເປັນຜູ້ຣິດຈະນາ ກໍ່ຈິ່ງໄດ້ສ້າງ ລໍາພະເວດ ໄວ້ກັບສາສະໜາພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າ ໕໐໐໐ ວັດສາ ຂໍຜົນອັນນີ້ເປັນປັດໄຈຍະແກ່ພະນີພານ ຕັດບ່ວງເບັນຈະມານຂາດໄດ້ ຈົ່ງລຸພະນີພານດັ່ງຄໍາໝາຍແດ່ກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ ອະຣະຫັນຕິ ໂຫມິ ນິບພານະ ປັດຈະໂຍ ໂຫນຕຸ ໂນ ນິດຈັງ ທຸວັງ.

Sakkaban (Sakkapabba) the tenth episode of a total of 13 episodes of the Vessantara Jataka with 46 verses. Sakkaban or Sakkapana means the section on Sakka, the content mentions about Sakka or Indra thought that in the future if someone asked for Princess Maddi, Vessantara would agree. That would make his practice difficult because of nobody taking care of him. Sakka assumed the guise of a Brahmin and asked for Princess Maddi. Vessantara gave her willingly. Then the Brahmin returned Maddi to him along with eight blessings including, ‘May the people of Sivi forgive him and bring him back the kingdom’. Colophon: Fascicle 17 on the recto side: Sisumangkhala Sangkatrasa (CS) 1292, a kot sanga year, on the third day of the waxing moon of the third lunar month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kong ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Chan On and his wife Sao Thi sponsored the palm leaves. Rattanapannya is the scribe. They jointly sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Lam Phavet (Preaching on Vessantara) to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May the results of this merit be a condition for Nirvana and to cut the five obstacles off, and to reach Nirvana as our wishes. May I obtain Arahantship. May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvana, constantly and certainly.
