In the Buddha’s time, there was a little novice named Tissa who was only seven years old. He became a novice to study and practice in the monastery of Venerable Sariputta. Since his novicehood, Novice Tissa had received a lot of offerings from people. This was because in the previous existences, he gave alms, offered rice porridge and cloths to monks. With this auspiciousness, it resulted in the novice having a lot of offerings in this life. Many other monks had received offerings from the novice.
