Tika Dhammachak (Expansion scripture of the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta). Once, King Sihahanu Maharat ruled the kingdom of Kapilavatthu. He had his queen named Kanchana, and 3 sons, namely Sisuddhodana, Sukodana and Amittodana. When Sisuddhodana grew up, King Sihahanu Maharat held a special ceremony to appoint him as a new king and invited eight Brahmins to come and consider a woman who should be the partner of King Suddhodana. When they looked at it, they said that a woman who should be a partner for him must have 64 characteristics and include 5 beauties. The king then ordered them to go out and seek for the woman. Colophon: Folio 25 on the recto side: Sangkatrasa (CS) 1236, a kap set year, on the fifth day of the waxing moon of th eighth lunar month, the sixth day of the week (Friday), a moeng hao day, the writing of this manuscript was accomplished at the time of thiang van (between 10.30–12.00 o’clock). Hua Chao Sa Titsapannya had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Tikathammachak (Tika Dhammacakka), to support the Teachings of the Buddha. May my wishes be fulfilled. Nibbāna paccayo hontu no dhuvaṃ (May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvanaa, certainly).
