The whole text written in Pali language tells about Sikkhāpada (precepts) or the rules of disciplinary practices of monks called 227 precepts that monks must follow strictly. Colophon: Folio 47 on the recto side: Buddhist Era (BE) 2469, hap pao year, on the seventh day of the waning moon of the sixth lunar month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), the writing of this manuscript was accomplished at the time of kòng laeng (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). Chao Phikkhu Sukkhapannya from Vat Si Sumangkhala had the most ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Bali Sikkhabot (Pali Sikhāpada), to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
