ສັກກະບັນ (ຜູກ ໑໓)

ສັກກະບັນ ເປັນກັນທີ່ ໑໐ ໃນຈໍານວນ ໑໓ ກັນ ໃນເຫວດສັນຕະຣະຊາດົກ ມີ ໔໖ ຄາຖາ. ເນື້ອໃນກ່າວເຖິງ ທ້າວສັກກະຫຼືພະອິນ ຄິດວ່າ ຕໍ່ໄປພາຍໜ້າຫາກມີຜູ້ມາຂໍພະນາງມັດທີ ພະເວດສັນດອນກໍ່ຈະໃຫ້ ອາດເຮັດໃຫ້ການບໍາເພັນພຽນເພື່ອໂພທິຍານເກີດອຸປະສັກເພາະບໍ່ມີຜູ້ປົນນິບັດ ຈຶ່ງແປງເພດເປັນພາມມາຂໍພະນາງມັດທີ ພະເວດສັນດອນກໍ່ປະທານໃຫ້ ພາມແປງໄດ້ຖວາຍຄືນ ພ້ອມທັງປະສາດພອນ ໘ ປະການແກ່ພະເວດສັນດອນ ເຊັ່ນ ໃຫ້ຊາວເມືອງຫາຍໂກດແລ້ວອອກມາຮັບເອົາກັບບ້ານເມືອງ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ່ ໑໗ ໜ້າ ໑: ພຸດທະສັງກາດ ໒໔໗໒ ປີກັດໃສ້ ເດືອນຈຽງ ຂື້ນ ໖ ຄໍ່າ ວັນ ໑ ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມກອງງາຍ ໝາຍມີ ອົງສົມເດັດພະເຈົ້າມະຫາຊີວິດ ຊົງນາມ ສີສະຫວ່າງວົງ ພ້ອມດ້ວຍອົງອັກຄະມະເຫສີຄໍາຝັ້ນ ເປັນເຫງົ້າ ມີພະຣາຊະສັດທາໄດ້ສ້າງ ມະຫາເວດສັນຕະຣະຊາດົກ ມັດນີ້ມີ ໑໖ ຜູກ ໑໗ ກັບສອງ ໄວ້ກັບສາສະໜາພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າ ໕໐໐໐ ວັດສາ. ຂໍຜົນອັນນີ້ນໍາຂ້າພະເຈົ້າພົ້ນຈາກສົງສານ ຕັດບ້ວງເບັນຈະມານຂາດໄດ້ ຈົ່ງລຸພະນິບພານອັນສຸກຂະເສີມບານແດ່ກໍຂ້າເທີ້ນ. ອະຫັງ ອະຣະຫັນຕີ ພິກຂຸນີ ມະມະ ສັນຕິເກ ອະຣິຍະເມດໄຕໂຍ ປາປຸນາຕິ ນິບພານັງ ປະຣະມັງ ສຸກຂັງ ນິດຈັງ ທຸວັງ.

Sakkaban the tenth episode of a total of 13 episodes of the Vessantara Jataka with 46 verses. Sakkaban or Sakkapana means the section on Sakka, the content mentions about Sakka or Indra thought that in the future if someone asked for Princess Maddi, Vessantara would agree. That would make his practice difficult because of nobody taking care of him. Sakka assumed the guise of a Brahmin and asked for Princess Maddi. Vessantara gave her willingly. Then the Brahmin returned Maddi to him along with eight blessings including, ‘May the people of Sivi forgive him and bring him back the kingdom’. Colophon: Folio 17 on the recto side: Buddhist Era (BE) 2472, a kat sai year, the sixth day of the waxing moon of the first lunar month, the first day of the week (Sunday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). The great king named Sisavang Vong and his queen Khamfan are the principal initiators sponsored the making of this manuscript-bundle containing 16 fascicles of Maha vessantara sadok and one fascicle of Sòng as 17th, in order to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the of 5000 years. May the results of this merit support us to escaped from the Samsara (round of rebirths) and the five mara (the five destroyers) and finally reach Nibbāna which is the greatest bliss. Ahaṃ arahanti bhikkhuni mama santike ariyametteyyo pāpunāti nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukkhaṃ niccaṃ dhuvaṃ.
