Maha vagga or Maha Khanthaka (large section or great category) deals with events since enlightenment until the first sermon, the sermon of Anattalakkhana Sutta, the sermons to his son and the members of his family and friends, the sermon to the 30 bhaddavaggi, the sermon of Adittapariyaya Sutta to one thousand of Satilas, the sermon to King Bimbisara, the ordination of Venerable Sariputta and Venerable Maha Moggallana, Upajjhaya vatta (the practices toward the preceptor), Saddhiviharika vatta (the practices toward the disciple)… Colophon:Folio 24 on the recto side: Sangkatrasa one hundred and 404 (corresponding with CS 1144), a tao nyi, the eleventh day of the waning moon of the eighth lunar month, the first day of the week (Sunday). Rasakhuchao from Vat Khwan Kwaeng, together with Sao (Mrs) Khamtan and Sao (Mrs) Phan had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Sap Mahāvak, first bundle, to support the Teachings of the Buddha. May this be a condition to reach Nibbāna.
