Tika Dhammachak (Expansion scripture of the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta). The content tells Venerable Buddhagosa was the author of this scripture. Bodhisatta Siddhartha held a household for 29 years and then ordained as an ascetic for 6 years to attain enlightenment and became the Buddha. He preached to human beings and heavenly beings for 45 years. The Buddha passed away in Kusinara. The first Great Buddhist Council was held at Sattapannaguha cave the mount of Vebapabbata in Rajagaha. Venerable Maha Kassapa Thera was the chairman and King Ajatasattu was the sponsor. Venerable Ananda Thera after attaining arahaship was the answerer to the discourses of which he heard from the mouth of the Buddha. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Pavòra mangkhala Phamahasangkat 1217, a hap mao year, the eighth day of the waning moon of the ninth lunar month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday) and a hap hao day. The writing was accomplished at noon. His Majesty the king of the kingdom of Sisattanakhanahut Uttamarasathani Suvannachantha and his mother, brothers, wife, children, grandchildren and all relatives had the pure intent in the Teachings of the Buddha jointly to sponsor the making of this scripture entitled Tika Thammachak to support the Teachings of the Buddha. May this be a condition for us to attain magga (the path), phala (fruition) and reach Nibbāna certainly.
