After Suphommamokkha Bodhisatta had married Princess Varakittika, he also treated Khanti-parami (the perfection of forbearance) and travelled to teach people in different cities. So that the governors and people were live in a good way with morality and forbearance. Causing all the villagers to respect the Bodhisatta until the king of Videha kingdom was informed. He therefore invited the Bodhisatta to come and give a sermon. At that time, Suphommamokkha gave a sermon on the subject of Khanti to the king and his followers. When the sermon was over, the king was overjoyed and had faith in the teachings. Therefore, he has been almsgiving since then.
