Yamaka (Book on Pairs) is the sixth book of the Abhidhamma. Some of the content is written in Pali and some in Lao tells about the raising of the topics of the Dhamma to diagnose by asking and answering questions in pairs. The Dhamma in pairs consists of ten items as following: 1. Mūla Yamaka: Pairs on roots 2. Khandha Yamaka: Pairs on the 5 aggregates 3. Āyatana Yamaka: Pairs on the 12 bases 4. Dhātu Yamaka: Pairs on the 18 elements 5. Sacca Yamaka: Pairs on the 4 Truths 6. Saṅkhāra Yamaka: Pairs on the 3 formations 7. Anusaya Yamaka: Pairs on the 7 latent states 8. Citta Yamaka: Pairs on the 4 consciousness 9. Dhamma Yamaka: Pairs on the Dhamma of wholesome and unwholesome 10. Indriya Yamaka: Pairs on the 22 faculties. The royal son of the royal king, who lived in the golden palace on the back side, is the initiator along with his wife, children, grandchildren and all relatives thought of the virtues of the Triple Gem which is the field of merit, had the most ardent religious faith in the Buddha’s Teachings and kindness to sponsor the making of the Buddhist scripture of the Phayamaka vatthu (Yamaka) to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Sudinnaṃ vatta me dānaṃ parisuddhaṃ nibbānaṃ paranaṃ sukhaṃ niccaṃ dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ (May the alms that I have already given is pure be a condition to reach Nibbāna which is the greatest bliss constantly and certainly).
