The content tells that in the past, there was a devaputta named Inda. When he reached the end of his life in heaven, he was born in the human world as the son of a clan. The boy began to grow with a moral heart, which is that he had the five virtues in him such as not to kill animals, not to steal, not to commit adultery, not to lie and not to drink alcohol, and later he left his home and went to live in the forest and eat fruit for his own life. When that man reached the end of his life and died, he was born as a Brahma named Maha Virasuttha. Colophon: Folio 18 on the recto side: Sangkatrasa 12 hundred and 204 (corresponding with CS 1224), a tao set year, on the fourteenth day of the waxing moon of the fifth lunar month, a huang mao day, the fifth day of the week (Thursday), [the writing of this manuscript was accomplished] at the time of tut tang (between 6.00–7.30 o’clock). Phò-òk Xiang Vantha and his wife together with all their children had the religious faith to sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Munlamunli to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paranaṃ sukhaṃ (Nibbāna is greatest bliss).
