Aṭṭhaṅgika-magga, the noble eightfold path, the Buddha delivered a sermon on the noble eightfold path to his followers at the Jetavana monastery in Savatthi. Colophon: Folio 23 on the recto side: Sangkat 20000 and 200034 (corresponding with CS 1234), a ka hao year, on the sixth day of the waxing moon of the eleventh lunar month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday), a tao sanga day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Xiang Tan and his wife, Sao Tan together with all their children jointly sponsored the making of this manuscript [entitled] Atthangkhikamakkha (Atthaṅgika-magga), single fascicle, to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
