A hunter named Khomala living in Uttarakham village, Koson (Kosala) city. He had seven daughters named Intha, Khatha, Sati, Dandita, Phimpha, Nantha and Sasa respectively. One day, during Khomala was hunting he heard a boy’s cry. Later, he discovered the boy with his dead parents. Khomala brought the boy to his house and named him Varakittika. Before he died, the hunter left his message with his daughters to look after Varakittika. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Chunlasangkat 185 (corresponding with CS 1185) , a ka mot year, on the third day of the waning moon of the ninth lunar month, the first day of the week (Sunday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Phò Thao Suk had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Phalasangkhaya to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccayo hontu (May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna).
