In the Buddha’s time, there was a lay Buddhist man who offered a thing to the Sangha, but when a monk received the thing, he took that it to consume in another place and consumed it personally for him. The lay man was displeased and reprimanded the gossip. Then the Buddha made a decree that any bhikkhu who brought the thing to consume in another place must be confessed the Dukkata offence. Colophon: Folio 38 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa (CS) 1262, a kat khai year, on the eighth day of the waxing moon of the eleventh lunar month, the writing of this manuscript was accomplished at the time of the kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Nang Khao Hom (Nun Hom) sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Pha Vinai (Vinaya), to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccayo hontu dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ (May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna certainly and certainly).
