Óbitos de Livres, 1842-1862

The volume consists of burial records of free individuals registered in the Church of Santo Antônio de Sá, Itaboraí-RJ, and includes testaments that refer to land and slaves (and, in some cases, the manumission of enslaved individuals the "donation" of enslaved individuals, and evaluations of their monetary value). Entries date from 10 Apr 1842 through 12 Feb 1862. The opening and closing charters were signed by interim Municipal Judge Luis Cardim da Silva, who also initialed the folios. The volume also includes some burial records of Portuguese individuals. African "nations"/ethnonyms mentioned: Congo.
