Once upon a time, King Brahmadata reigned the kingdom of Varanasi. He had a son named Duddaraja Kumara. One day, mentors took the little prince to bathe in the revir of Varanasi. At the time, there was a heavy rain and the flood swept the little prince down the stream. The little prince rode on a big log on which there were a snake, a mice and a parrot stayed together. The Bodhisattva was living as an ascetic in a hut in the big forest of Varanasi. When he heard the cry of the child, he went out to help and lighted the fire for the snake, mice and bird. Then he gave the little prince a fire, which made the little prince angry and vengeful. When the little prince grew up, he returned the kingdom and became the king of Varanasi, after the death of his father. One day, the ascetic entered into the city for alms. The king knew, he rode an elephant and chased the ascetic, hoping to kill him.
