ພູຣິທັດ (ຜູກຖ້ວນ ໖)

ເມື່ອພານເນສາທະຜູ້ທໍາຮ້າຍພູຣິທັດເພາະຫວັງແກ້ວສາຣະພັດນຶກນັ້ນ ໄດ້ຂ່າວວ່າ ພາມຜູ້ຈັບນາກກາຍເປັນໂລກຂີ້ເຮື້ອນເພາະພິດນາກກໍ່ຕົກໃຈຢ້ານ ຈຶ່ງໄປລ້າງບາບທີ່ແມ່ນໍ້າຍຸມມະນາ ປະກາດວ່າ ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າ ໄດ້ທໍາຮ້າຍມິດ ຄືພູຣິທັດ ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າປາດຖະໜາຈະລ້າງບາບ. ບັງເອີນ ເຈົ້າສຸໂພຄະໄດ້ຍິນ ຈຶ່ງຈັບພານນັ້ນໄປຍັງເມືອງນາກ ເພື່ອຖາມຄວາມຄິດເຫັນຈາກນ້ອງວ່າຄວນຈະລົງໂທດຫຼືຈະຂ້າຖິ້ມ ພູຣິທັດໄດ້ບອກໃຫ້ປ່ອຍພານນັ້ນໄປ ເພື່ອບໍ່ໃຫ້ຈອງເວນຈອງກໍາແກ່ກັນແລະກັນ. ພູຣິທັດໄດ້ບໍາເພັນສີລະປາຣະມີ ໂດຍການຮັກສາອຸໂບສົດ ເມື່ອສິ້ນຊີວິດແລ້ວ ກໍ່ໄດ້ໄປເກີດເປັນພະຍາອິນທາທິຣາດ ຜູ້ເປັນໃຫຍ່ເທິງສະຫວັນ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ ໒໗ ໜ້າ ໑: ສັງກາດໄດ້ ໑໒໓໔ ຕົວ ປີເຕົ່າສັນ ມື້ເຕົ່າໃຈ້ ວັນ ໕ ເດືອນ ໘ ລົງ ໑໔ ຄໍ່າ ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມກອງງາຍ ມູນລະສັດທາ ໝາຍມີ ແສນໃໝ່ທີ ສະຫະບຸດຕະນັດຕາພັນທຸເຜົ່າພົງວົງສາ ພີ່ນ້ອງສູ່ຄົນ ສ້າງ ພູຣິທັດຈັນທະກຸມມານ ໄວ້ຄໍ້າສາສະໜາພະໂຄຕະມະເຈົ້າ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າ ໕ ພັນວັດສາ ຂໍໃຫ້ໄດ້ດັ່ງຄໍາມັກຄໍາປາດຖະໜາທຸກເຍື່ອງທຸກປະການກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ ນິບພານັງ ປະຣະມັງ ສຸກຂັງ.

When Hunter Senada who harmed Bhuridatta for the sake of the gem, heard that Brahmin, the snake catcher had become leprous because of the snake venom, he was so frightened. So, he went to wash away his sins at the Yimmana River. He announced that “I have hurt a friend Bhuridatta I wish to atone for my sins”. Coincidentally Suboga heard that, so he took the hunter to the naga world in order to ask opinions from his sibling on whether the hunter should be punished or killed. Bhuridatta told his brother to set the hunter free in order to not to seek revenge for each other. Bhuridatta had performed Sila parami (perfection of morality) by observing the eight precepts. After death, he was reborn as Indra, the king of the gods in the heaven. Colophon: Folio 27 on the recto side: Sangkat (CS) 1234, a tao san year, on a tao chai day, the fourteenth day of the waning moon of the eighth lunar month, the writing of this manuscript was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). The initiator, Saen Maithi together with his children, grandchildren, relatives and siblings sponsord the making of this manuscript entitled Phurithat and Chantha Kumman (Bhuridatta and Canda Kumara), to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May all our wishes and desires come true. Nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ (Nirvanaa is the greatest bliss).
