The content tells Somadata was forbidding his father from being ungrateful to the benefactor by giving the address of Bhuridatta to a Brahmin who had the mantra of Alambayana in exchange for a gem. Somadata spoke to his father that “One who harms his friend and rejects his kindness will be engulfed in a deadly hell. The earth will draw in the person. Even when he is alive, he becomes pale. If you desire wealth, Bhuridatta, the naga prince would probably give. I understand that you will soon have to suffer the duty you have committed.” Colophon: Folio 25 on the recto side: Sangkat (CS) 1234, a tao san year, on a tao chai day, the fourteenth day of the waning moon of the eighth lunar month, the writing of this manuscript was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). The initiator, Saen Maithi together with his children, grandchildren, relatives and siblings sponsord the making of this manuscript entitled Phurithat and Chantha Kumman (Bhuridatta and Canda Kumara), to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May all our wishes and desires come true. Nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ (Nirvanaa is the greatest bliss).
