On one occasion, the Buddha was residing at the Veluvana monastery in Rajagaha. At that time, there was a Brahmin named Suvana who came to the present of the Buddha in order to ask for advice that his wife died and was born as a ghost in the house and cheated him every night. The Buddha said that in the past, she laughed and mocked a monk who had a terrible appearance with the fraction of the bad deed, which made her a demon. The Buddha advised Suvanna to making the manuscript of Anuloma which contains the Buddha's teachings and donate it as alms and devote the portion of the merit to her. So Suvanapham followed, the spirit of his wife was freed from being a demon and was born as an angel in Catumaharajika Heaven with a castle of 12 yojana height and is surrounded by angels as her servants. Colophon: Folio 23 on the recto side: Sangkatrasa (CS) 1291, a kat sai year, the twelfth day of the waning moon of the second lunar month, the first day of the week (Sunday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng laeng (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). Sathu (Prince) Vongkot and his wife, Princess Rattanavadi had the pure religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Matthu Anulom to support the Teachings of the Buddha. May the results of this merit support our relatives and friends including parents, etc. May our wishes and desires come true. May we enter Nibbāna where without ageness and death definitely. May we be free from any oppression by Mara (destroyer). By the results from the making of this manuscript and donated it monks who have moral conduct, may all devas who live in the heaven castles inspire the minds of all human kinds to make merit and be faithful to each other through the future. Nibbāna is the greatest bliss.
