The text tells about the practice of Vipassa meditaion by considering the four principles of Brahamvihāra. Brahamvihāra means abiding of the great ones, as following: 1. Mettā: loving-kindness, wish him well. 2. Karunā: compassion, think of helping him to get out of suffering. 3. Muditā: sympathetic joy, when others are well and happy. 4. Upekkhā: equanimity. Colophon: Folio 15 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa 0002 hundred 712 (corresponding with CS 1272), the fifth day of the week (Thursday), a huang khai day, a kot set year. Chao Sommana (great abbot) Phothipannya of Vat Xiang Kan (Kang) had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Kammathan (Mental exercises) to dedicate to Pho-ok (lay father) Saen Mai Phaeng who passed away to the other world. Even if he lost and has been stuck in a misery and becomes a ghost somewhere. May the results of this merit move him to a good place. [If he is already in] a good place, support him ever more better by hundred times and one hundred thousand times. May this be a condition to reach Nibbāna.
