The content of the story of Matttakundali who made his heart faithful in the Buddha before dying. There was a Brahmin named Adinnapuppa in Savatthi, who was stingy, had a son named Matttakundali. When Matttakundali i was seriously ill, but the father refused to let the doctor come to treat him because he was afraid of losing money. Until the child became seriously ill, the father thought that the child would not be saved, so he took his son out to sleep on the balcony outside the room. In the coming morning, the Buddha came to see him and spread his rays towards Matttakundali. When Matttakundali saw the Buddha's radiance, he had his mind faithful in the Buddha and worshipped the Buddha. As a result he was reborn in the heaven and visited his grieving father to advise him to take the refuge in the Buddha, Dhamma and the Sangha and to observe the precepts. Colophon: Folio 10 on the recto side: Chan (ex-monk) Suk from Luang Prabang is the scribe of this 20th fascicle of Vatthu Phet (Story of the ghosts). This story of the ghosts was copied from the story of 90 ghosts in Thai version. The book in Thai version was copied into Lao language used to preach in Lao style for Lao Buddhists. Thus, the preachers may consider, it might have some mistakes as the transcription from Thai language into Lao is slightly difficult. I am afraid that the transcription from a foreign language into Lao might not fit with our Lao language. Therefore, I much apologize you all here. I hope the preachers might forgive me definitely.
