ອາກາຣະວັດຕະສູດ ເປັນພະສູດອັນໃຫຍ່ຍິ່ງຫາສູດອື່ນມາປຽບບໍ່ໄດ້ ດ້ວຍມີທັງພະສູດ ພະວິໄນ ແລະພະອະພິທໍາປີດົກ. ເນື້ອໃນເປັນຄາຖາເປັນພາສາບາລີແລະອະທິບາຍເປັນພາສາລາວ. ໃນສະໄໝໜຶ່ງ ພະຜູ້ມີພະພາກເຈົ້າປະທັບຢູ່ພູເຂົາຄິດຊະກູດ ໃກ້ເມືອງຣາຊະຄຶ ພະພຸດທະອົງໄດ້ເທດສະໜາທຳເລື່ອງ ອາກາຣະວັດຕະສູດ ແກ່ພະສາຣິບຸດເຖຣະ. ຄາຖາອາກາຣະວັດຕະສູດມີອານຸພາບຍິ່ງກວ່າສູດອື່ນໆ ໃນການປ້ອງກັນໄພອັນຕະລາຍແກ່ຜູ້ລະນຶກຕາມຢູ່ເນື່ອງນິດ ບາບກໍາທັງປວງຈະບໍ່ໄດ້ຫຍັ່ງລົງສູ່ສັນດານໄດ້ດ້ວຍອໍານາດອາກາຣາວັດຕະສູດນີ້. ບຸກຄົນໃດໄດ້ຟັງກໍ່ດີ ໄດ້ຂຽນເອງກໍ່ດີ ຫຼືໄດ້ຈ້າງຄົນອື່ນຂຽນກໍ່ດີ ໄດ້ທ່ອງຈໍາກໍ່ດີ ໄດ້ກ່າວສອນຄົນອື່ນກໍ່ດີ ໄດ້ສັກກາລະບູຊາເຄົາລົບນັບຖືກໍ່ດີ ໄດ້ສູດມົນພາວະນາຢູ່ເນື່ອງກໍ່ດີ ກໍ່ຈະໄດ້ພົ້ນຈາກໄພ ໓໐ ປະການ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: (໑) ລານທີ ໑໕ ໜ້າ ໒: ວັນ ໗ ເດືອນຍີ່ ແຮມ ໘ ຄໍ່າ ໑໒໗໙. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: (໑໒) ລານທີ ໑໖ ໜ້າ ໑: ສັງກາດ ໑໒໗໙ ຕົວປີເມິ່ງໃສ້ ມື້ເມິ່ງເປົ້າ ວັນ ໔ ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມວັດ ໝາຍມີ ເພັຍອາຣິຍະລັດສີ ຜົວເມຍ ພ້ອມບຸດຕະນັດຕາພັນທຸວົງສາ ມີໃຈໃສສັດທາສ້າງລໍາ ອາກາຣະວັດຕະສູດ ໓ ຜູກນີ້ ກັບສາສະໜາພະໂຄຕະມະເຈົ້າ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າ ໕໐໐໐ ພະວັດສາ. ຂໍໃຫ້ໄດ້ດັ່ງຄໍາມັກຄໍາຊູ່ເຍື່ອງຊູ່ປະການແດ່ກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ ສາທຸ ສາທຸ ອະນຸໂມທາມິ. ຂຽນເອົາຜູ້ດຽວ ເດັກນ້ອຍຫລາຍຄົນ ບໍ່ງາມທໍ່ໃດແລ້ວ.
Akaravattasut is one of the greatest suttas. No other suttas are able to compare. It is integrated the Sutta, the Vinaya, and Abhidhamma Pitakas. The contents are verses in Pali and explanation in Lao. On one occasion, while residing at the Gijjhakuta hill, the Buddha spoke to Venerable Sariputta on this Akaravatta Sutta. The verses of Akaravattasut are more powerful than other suttas in the protection from all dangers for those who regularly keep these verses in mind. All sins will not be a ble to penetrate into the nature by the power of this Akaravattasut. Whoever listened to it, written it by himself, or hired someone else to write it for him, memorised it, taught it to others, worshiped and respected it, regularly recited it in meditation will be free from 30 kinds of dangers. Colophons: (1) Folio 15 on the verso side: On the seventh day of the week (Saturday) the eighth day of the waning moon of the second lunar month [CS] 1279. (2) Folio 16 on the recto side: Sangkat (CS) 1279, a moeng sai year, a moeng pao day, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), the writing was accomplished at the time of the temple drum (between 15.00–16.30 o’clock). Phia Ariyalatsi and his wife along with all their children and relatives had the religious faith to sponsor the making of these three manuscripts [entitled] Akaravattasut, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
