Vinaya text on Ñatti (a motion) is the enunciation to the Sangha for their consent in order to perform an act together. This means the offers used in Kammavaca (formal words) recited by the two announcing monks for consent of the Sangha. When the Sangha acknowledged and no one opposed, this means the formal act is complete. If any of the monks opposed, the announcing monks would stop their recitation and start the recitation of the ñatti again. This time is called ‘ñatti dutiyakam’ which is used in the Kathinna ceremony. Some time is called ‘ñatti catutthakam’ which is used in the ordination ceremony. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Sangkatrasa 36 (corresponding with CS 1036), a kap nyi year, the eighth day of the waxing moon of the fourth lunar month, the first day of the week (Sunday). Somdet Sangkharasa Satthammakanlanya Khasavannathipattirama had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Nisai Attha Mahavak to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition to reach Nibbāna.
