Vinaya text. At one time, the Buddha was dwelling at the Jetavana monastery in Savatthi. There was a group of six bhikkhunis (female monks) begged the sugarcane juice from villagers and drank it. That is a cause that they were condemned, criticized by the monks and villagers. When the Buddha investigated and it was true. Then, the Buddha laid down a rule to ban the bhikkhunis to beg the sugarcane juice from villagers for eating. Later, some of the six bhikkhunis were ill because of not to eat the sugar cane juice at the wrong time. The Buddha allowed the ill bhikkhunis could beg the sugar cane juice from the villagers.
