Vinaya text on the Pavarana day (the day of giving occasion to speak). This means the end day of staying in the monasteries of monks for three months in the rainy season. That is when the monks made their determination on the first day of the waning moon of the eighth lunar month and stayed in the monasteries until the fifteenth day of the waxing moon of the eleventh lunar month as the end. This day is called Maha Pavarana day. The monks are together to perform the pavarana that they give opportunity to others to advise one with kindness. The day after, the monks can travel and stay over nights at other places.
