The content tells about three types of the Buddhas namely Pannadhika-Buddha, Saddhadhika-Buddha and Viriyadhika-Buddha. The history of Gotama Buddha he was born as King Vessantara, and then was Santusita Devaputta in Tusita heaven and lived there for four thousand years of heaven. Then all devas, Indra and brahmas invited the Bodhisatta to be born in the world for becoming the Buddha and teaching the Dhamma to human beings and devas. The Bodhisatta came down to the womb of Queen Siri Mahamaya. When he was born, he was named Siddhartha. When he was 16 years old, he married Princess Yashodhara or Bimba. They had a son named Rahula. Later, he gave up all his wealth and fled to become an ascetic and spent 6 years in penance, and then he attained enlightenment and became a Buddha. Venerable Kondanna Thera invited the Buddha to peach a sermon of Pathama Mulamuli which tells about the occurance of the world and lives. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: In Sangkatrasa (CS) 1201, a kat khai year, on the fifth day of the waning moon of the tenth lunar month, the sixth day of the week (Friday), a kat sai day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng laeng (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). Mae-ok (Lay mother) Chaofa together with her children, grandchildren and relatives jointly had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Pathama Munlamunli to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccayo hotu dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ (May this be a condition to reach Nibbāna, certainly and certainly).
