Calcined white medicines: Apraka cuṇṇam Pills: Āṟumuka kuru Pungent watery products: ceyanīr The iatrochemical processes concern the method to purify zinc (nāka cutti), to combine zinc and lead (vaṅka nākam), to extract essence of arsenic pentasulphide (kauri cattu), to melt iron (irumpu urukka) and to convert it into gold (irumpiṉ vētai). Text 2- The text, entitled Vaittiya Centūram- 300 was written by Akattiyar. It contains 23 leaves numbered from 140 to 162 on with the verses from 1 to 100 are inscribed. The text describes a few formulations of medicines and iatrochemical processes. The medicinal formations are: Electuary: Caya lēkiyam Calcined white medicine prepared from metals and minerals: Tāḷaka nīṟu and Aṇṭanīṟu paṟpam; Raca paṟpam; Veṭiuppu cuṇṇam. Calcined red medicine prepared from metals and minerals: Apraka centūram, Pavaḷa kārīya centūram, Aya centūram and Turucu centūram. The iatrochemical processes concern the extraction of juice from the plant Tinospora cordifolia (cīntil carkkarai), purification of magnatite (kānta cutti), extraction of essence (cattu) from iron (ayam), mica (aprakam), gypsum (kaṟpūra cilācattu) and copper pyrites (nimilai). Information on magnetic lead (kānta vaṅkam), magnetic iron (ayakāntam) and a variety of mica called kriṣṇāprakam are provided. The text explains also the method to attain perfect health (kāya citti).
