The leaves 6-9, 12, 39, 93-94 and 99-100 are missing. The manuscript is in bad condition; the leaves are more and less damaged by larvae and fungus, and some have no longer a number as they are broken. The text, written in verses, describes formulations of medicines: Medicated oils: Mōreṇṇey, Cītēvi eṇṇey as well as Verukeṇṇey for treating all types of fever (cakala curam). Medicated ghī: Vallārai ney, puḷiryārai ney and Tayir ney. Wax like medicine: Kummaṭṭikāi kuḻampu Pills: Miruka cañcīvi māttirai and Ratta cañcīvi māttirai; Kālākkiṉi ruttra kuḷikai. Calcined red medicine prepared from metals and minerals: Kānta centūram, Apraka centūram, Maṇṭūra centūram and Aya centūram. Mercury-based medicine: Mirutāṅka racam Medicines (not named; maruntu) for treating intestinal tuberculosis (uḷai māntai) and chronic fever (nālpaṭṭa curam). The text provides information on the process to purify raw material: metals such as copper (tāmiram) and magnet (kāntam); menerals such as copper pyrites (nimilai), zinc carbonate (tuttam), a kind of arsenic (toṭṭi pāṣāṇam), camphor (kaṟpūram) and gypsum (cilācattu); and plants such as Shorea robusta (kukkil).
