This volume contains letters written by the Governor of Sierra Leone between 2 October 1846 and 12 September 1847. Letters include the date and the place of writing, and the signature of the sender. Some pages consist of a schedule of despatches sent on a specific date and provide information on the number of the despatch, its date, the subject and the number of enclosures. The volume is tightly bound in red cloth boards. The paper is brittle, and there is extensive damage from iron gall.
