Despatches from the Governor to the Secretary of State 17 Apr 1824-31 Jan 1825

This volume contains letters written by the Acting Governor of Sierra Leone, Daniel Molloy Hamilton, to the Secretary of State for War and the Colonies between 17 April 1824 and 27 January 1825. The first part of the volume includes fourteen pages containing a summary of the despatches. There are 27 blank pages. Each letter written by the governor includes the date, the place it was written, and the signature of the sender. It sometimes includes enclosures. There is extensive damage on the cover and on the spine. Some of the pages are loose, and the edges of the paper are breaking away. There are some traces of damage from iron gall.
