Description: This volume contains a daily account of the number of Liberated Africans under the charge of the Liberated Department between 1 January 1849 and 11 September 1849. Men, women, boys, girls are listed separately. The lists also contain information about where Liberated Africans were sent and the distribution of food and goods. The lists record the number of Liberated Africans in hospital and the number who had died. Extent of original material: 1 volume of 264 folios.
